Graythwaite is located in a green & leafy residential district amidst a host of interesting buildings and tree lined avenues that form part of a conservation area on the edge of Newcastle town centre. Graythwaite is a magnificent Victorian Villa built in 1893 that has been lovingly restored by the current owners John & Hazel Cooke.

Graythwaite is our family home; you will be made to feel very welcome by everyone you meet including if you are lucky our two dogs.

While we are in a quiet residential area we are but only 5 minutes walk from the town centre of Newcastle under Lyme and only a few minutes by car from Stoke, Hanley and the other Potteries towns. If you have your own car we are easily accessible from major transport routes M6 & A50 & A34, we also have our own private car park.
Getting around from Graythwaite is easy even if you don't have a car. There are lots of great places to eat within walking distance, which means you can forget about the need for transport in the evening.
If you are using public transport then we are a 5-minute walk from Newcastle bus station or a short bus or taxi ride from Stoke Railway Station (approx 3 miles) or Hanley bus station. We have information at Graythwaite on all public transport and local maps so will do our best to help.
Newcastle Town Centre has plenty of shops, cafes and places to eat. We are the closest Guest House to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire, all parts of the hospital can be reached within a few minutes on foot.
If you are visiting either Keele or Staffordshire University both are easy and quick to get to from Graythwaite. We are ideally located almost mid way between the two Universities. There is a regular bus service that links both Universities and also Stoke railway station, which passes by the end of Lancaster Road.
Graythwaite is a prime location for visits to all local attractions in the North Staffordshire area and ideally situated for excursions further afield.
